History of Barayong Elementary School

                   Barayong Elementary School is situated at the center of
    Barangay    Barayong, Ligao City with a total land area of more or less
    1.2 hectares which was said to have been donated by affluent and
    influential people in the barangay 65 years ago. The school is
    estimated to be six kilometers away from the city proper.

                   The school has started its service to the people of Barayong
    since 1920 making it one of the oldest schools in Ligao. Barayong is a
    complete elementary school which used to serve the pupils from the
    adjacent barangays such as Herrera, Pinit and Busay. With the
    establishment of public elementary schools in the aforementioned
    barangays, educational services are now basically given to learners
    from Barayong and a few from Pinit.
